Lightning Protection Systems

Lightning strikes can damage and weaken trees, creating a hazard and potentially causing serious problems for your property, especially in the event of another storm. Lightning protection systems are an excellent way to mitigate that risk.
Because trees are often the tallest objects in a landscape, naturally, they are more vulnerable to being struck by lightning. Electrical current seeks the path of least resistance, passing through the trunk of a tree and through the roots before dissipating in the ground. Major unseen internal and root damage may occur, weakening trees and making them more susceptible to disease.
Lightning protection systems are not designed to attract lightning or even to prevent strikes from occurring. Instead, they are designed to be the preferred path of least resistance, directing the current away from the tree directly into the ground.

For example, as a preventive measure, Emerald Ash Borer control requires a single tree-injection application every three years. Similarly, Dutch Elm disease prevention also requires just a single tree injection every three years. Sod Installation

There are many reasons to perform sod installation. Sod is a layer of established grass with roots and some soil attached. It is harvested in long strips that are rolled up with the soil side out.
