New York State Arborist Association

The New York State Arborist Association (NYSA) is a chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture that seeks to stimulate public interest in trees, shrubs and the environment and to promote research and education in the proper way to care for them. The chapter also serves as a medium through which members can exchange information and knowledge with other arborists and professionals.

New York State Certified Pesticide Applicator
The Division of Solid & Hazardous Materials (a division of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation) regulates the application of pesticides in New York State and is responsible for ensuring business compliance with State pesticide laws. Individuals are required to attend training courses in pesticide application and to pass examinations developed by the agency in order to receive certification in New York State. Certification must be renewed every three years. Businesses must register with the Department in order to apply pesticides for hire.
